Feeling Pretty. . .

Yep, I do!
Really.
I can probably count on one hand the number of times that I have said that about myself.

I splurged last night and got my hair done.
Helps a bit that I had a sweet coupon and a small gift card too! :)
So, my caramel highlights are back and the gray is gone!

Combined with my two eyes and metal-free state, I am feeling pretty darn pretty!
Not sure if I look 1 month, 24 days younger or not. . .But I'm sure giving it a try! :)

I will try to get some photos up on myspace for those who have requested them.

Now or Later?

Music has always played a big part in my life.
Until recently, I had a radio in every room and most of the time, had it playing.

I tend to process things in my head faster if I have "background music".
It also helped me tune out conversations around me in this open office environment that I work.

Why is this on the top of my mind?

I am no longer allowed to listen to music at work during certain hours.
This has negatively impacted the large amount of work that I have to get done before my trip.

Can I scream now or later?

Organization Anyone?

I have been called an organization freak by some.
I have been called smart by others.

I simply cannot remember everything if I don't write it down and try to keep it on my mind.

I thought I was doing a good job of figuring out when everything was going to get done. . .
Until Mother Nature decided to have some fun with my organizational skills.

MBB and I had major plans this past weekend and got about 5% of it done.
Having a road covered in ice (still is as a matter of fact) and no Internet was not a fun time.

I'm hoping that the weather clears up and allows us to get done what we need to get done!
Yeah, I know. . .I have better odds of winning the lottery!

Eeeek!

I am not a fan of icy, winter driving.
Who am I kidding?
I'm not a fan of icy, summer driving either.

You know it's gonna get bad when your employer sends out an email warning about weather that is rolling in and to "use your best judgement. . .and be safe".

Unfortunately, I have a doctor's appointment at 4:00 for my lasik follow-up and can't get an earlier time. This is a pretty important appointment in my eyes (hehe, get it?), so I am going to do what I have to do to be there. . .
And since the doctor's office is at Wally World, I'll probably pick up some milk and bread too.

Side-note:
Can I tell you how much I hate mouse traps? A lot.
How much do I hate mice? A lot more.
Having said that, MBB taught me how to set mouse traps.
The bad news: I had to set 7 of them (no, he wasn't happy with just 4).
The good news: we are one less rodent this morning.

Metal Free

I've had some requests for my metal free smile.

It wasn't until I cropped my smile so close that I realized that I have very weird lips!

Notes To Self. . .

• If a laptop goes pop, back away very quickly.
• If smoke quickly follows the pop, grab a fire extinguisher – it will be needed in about 3 minutes.
• Keyboard flames can grow quickly to two foot tall.
• Grab clothe items before the fire starts or plan to stop by the cleaners on the way home.
• Fire extinguisher powder grows legs and gets into every nook and cranny.

• The air between a picture and the frame's glass is a nook or cranny.
• FE powder is yellow, fine and very gritty.
• Once said powder finds a home, it doesn’t like to leave.
• Burnt plastic on laptops is very weird looking and doesn't smell very nice.

• FE powder smells even worse than burnt plastic.
• Flames growing up out of a laptop do leave burnt marks on the surface under it.

• Wiping down surfaces multiple times will not remove powder grittiness and / or odor.

I should mention that the impression to make my retainer broke, so I had to have goop in my mouth again and have to go to another appointment later this week. . .
May I also mention that we are no longer allowed to listen to music at work. . . Instead, I get to listen to a co-worker sneeze as loud as she possibly can about nine times in a row several times a day.

"Ma'am, this is not a cell phone number. This is my home number that I have had for 11 years."
