#FridayFinds - La Torta Loca (Florence, KY)

We decided to try out La Torta Loca when they opened their Florence location...
It is Mexican food, but more Mexican sandwiches than our typical burritos...

And we liked it! Definitely a repeat for us.

Torta Loca

Torta Pepito (the better of the two)

On our second trip, I got an Arepas, but didn't get a picture.  It was smaller in size (more perfect for me) and just as yummy.

#FridayFinds - Alexxa's (Las Vegas, NV)

Here is another old friend of ours from Las Vegas.  They have recently changed their name, so the sign now says Alexxa's, even though we still call it Hexx.

The menu isn't as good as it used to be, but they still have two old favorites that we try to get every trip. I even spotlighted their potatoes on my Memory post on 8/28/2019.  :)

Breakfast Potatoes
(we always order a full side, not just what comes with the breakfast plates)

Farm fresh eggs (w/ egg whites and bacon)

Our other old friend - Cinnaroll waffles
w/ a side of bacon)

(I think) Meat Omelet

(I think) Brioche French Toast

#FridayFinds - Nacho Daddy (Las Vegas, NV)

We have been to Nacho Daddy many times on our Las Vegas trips, but they have never been added to the blog. Time to fix that!

On this trip, we were about to go Zip Line over Freemont Street and I decided that I needed a yummy "last meal"... just in case.  :) (And yes - I did zip line...)

I didn't get a picture of the restaurant name - kind of tight on the Freemont Street location, but I did get a picture of their interior proclamation.

Queso and Chips

Burrito

Quesadia

Asian Chicken Nachos
(my standing order every time we go)

#FridayFinds - Nine Fine Irishmen (Las Vegas, NV)

This was a spur of the moment decision.  We had just gone to a show in Las Vegas and were starving.  I am a fan of Irish cooking, but my hubby is not.  Since this was the only place in the Casino with no wait - we decided to give it a try.

And I am so happy that we did.  This is now on our "try to eat there on every trip" list.  :)

Michael Collins
(Baileys Irish Cream, Vanilla Vodka, Kahlua, Butterscotch)

Fried Pickles

Irish Cheesesteak w/ Fries
(shaved ribeye, peppers & onions, irish beer cheese on a hoagie roll)

It has been deemed a "must have repeat"...

Chicken Pot Pie
(tomato bisque, potatoes, carrots, onions, peas, puff pastry)

Yes - the base was tomato - and it was great!

FALL 2023 UPDATE: On our next visit to Nine Fine Irishmen, we got pretty much the same thing except I also tried the Brussel Sprouts... I will say those are the one things that probably won't be a repeat.
