#FridayFinds - India Palace (Lawrence, KS)

My bestie has been searching for a good Indian restaurant since they moved and has finally find it!
She is very picky on her Indian food, so that tells you that this is a place worth visiting if you are in Lawrence!

#FridayFinds - First Watch (Lawrence, KS)

We headed up to Lawrence for a girl's day and stopped at First Watch for brunch before exploring.
I didn't get a picture of the sign, but the food was extremely good!

#FridayFinds - Torchy's Tacos (Olathe, KS)

I headed back out of town for a work trip and added on to see my besty.

Straight off the plane and we stopped by Torchy's to stop my belly from growling.
This is one of her family's faves and it didn't disappoint.

#FridayFinds - Bakersfield

Back in the office means another find in downtown Cincinnati - specifically in the Over the Rhine area.

This lunch was planned for a team outing before one of the group went out on leave but was morphed into a birthday celebration for little old me. :) The food was great, the company even better.

#CraftyTuesday - Thankfulness and Goodbyes

A good friend up north would help me pin quilts (which was a godsend), so I made a quilt for her as a Thank You.  It also lined up to be a "Goodbye" as well as I had to have it delivered after we headed south...

Some of the material matched the quilt that I made for her grandson previously...

#FridayFinds - Pete's Garage

Pete's Garage had been on the "to try" list for awhile, so when it was suggested for out "goodbye" dinner - it was a no brainer.  The only down side - we had such a big group (good problem to have) that we couldn't sit in the cars.
A big group also means a lot of food pictures and I'm not even sure what everyone ordered. LOL

If you can get in a car - definitely go for the memories.

#FridayFinds - Chop House (Toledo, OH)

Happy Anniversary to us!
OK - not the date on this post, but that was the occasion when we visited the Chop House.
Every year on our anniversary, we try a new restaurant - 2021 was a steakhouse.

Overall - the items we got were either amazing (noted as yummy on the picture) or not worth the trip.
It was worth the experience, as it was our anniversary, but I would not recommend it to others.

This bread was amazing and I can't remember what it was called as we didn't order it, but if you go - you'll get to experience it (and I so want to recreate it!)...

French Onion Soup - yummy

Wedge Salad - yummy

My Steak - I can't remember the cut, but I do remember that it was very good

MBB's steak - not worth the money, if I remember correctly - he liked mine better and his was way more expensive

Brussel Sprouts - Sent them back

Scalloped Potatoes - yummy

Thankful - Day 6

I've always wanted to do the 30 days of Thanks to refocus and rewire my brain...
But the first week of November is the most busiest week of the year...
So much that I need a week to mentally recover - so half of the month just goes poof!

This year, I decided that it is the right time for me...
Just with a slight spin...
Instead of a post every day, I'm going to do the six days leading up to Thanksgiving with five things that I am thankful for with each post.

Day 6:
> I love nature and there are a few ways to enjoy it that I look forward to every year:  Firepits and Hammocks!

> Yes, I have a bucket list and I am so thankful that I have a way to track my experiences and plan for the future!

> I have been exposed to many speakers over the years and a few just stand out on the inspiration scale and I will forever be blessed with the impact of their words: Simon T. Bailey, Randall Pinkett, Flygirl

> Social Media - Yes, it is a time waster... But oh such a great tool to stay in touch with many of the people who have touched my lives over the years.

> Everyone and everything that brings me enjoyment and learning (no, it isn't always enjoyable) in my life.  I am truly blessed to have been gifted 45 years on this hunk of rock traveling around a big fire ball and I am hopeful that I will have another 45 to grow the bucket list even more.

Day 5:
> Hair Dye - It's not just a gray eraser, but a way to express my individuality!

> Baby Steps toward autonomous vehicles! Auto Cruise, Birdseye Cameras, Auto High Beams - all welcome additions to my drive.

> Toledo Bike Trails - Being able to get some exercise in, connect with nature and not have to be worried about the crazy drivers...

> Being able to capture memories without having to worry about the cost...

> Different cultures bring a lot of learning, growing and expanding horizons that is amazing!

Day 4:
> Unique - I am truly blessed that sometimes my mind goes in a different direction that allows me to have different experiences...

> Tovala - A newer innovation that has been a blessed add to our kitchen...

> Crockpots - An old favorite that I still rely on to allow all of the pieces to still fit into the puzzle of life..

> American Eagle - The beautiful symbol that always pulls up the feeling of patriotism and loyalty in my heart.  Yes, even with our faults - I am proud to be an American.

> JD Robb/Nora Roberts, Christine Feehan, Sherrilyn Kenyon - The three who allow me to escape my reality for a bit and join their wonderful imaginations in print... Yes, these are the three that I still buy their words on paper.

> Alexander Graham Bell and IBM - The innovation that started the "keeping in touch" that evolved into "keeping organized in the palm of my hand"...

Day 2:
> My passion for opportunities for everyone has evolved into an amazing community that I am blessed to claim as my own.

> God blessed me with some amazing cousins, but one in particular has stood by my side through ups, downs and that wonderful day in 2010.

> Two years ago, we pulled up roots and headed north.  The amazing thing is the pool community is a great place to make new friends and you'll always stay in touch with old friends at all of the tournaments!

>Abundance - the first 8 items were about lots of people!

> Health... Yes, I have my challenges (I'm looking at you thyroid and knees!), but I am still vertical and able to live my life!

I will also say that I have gotten out of the habit of being able to write eloquently so this will be short and sweet.  It's the thoughts that count right?

Day 1:
> My other half.  My partner in life. The one who puts up with my craziness and makes me grow by dealing with his craziness.

> The three little dudes who stole pieces of my heart.

> The two who were born in my heart and not in my belly.

> The two who laid the foundation to prepare me to venture out on my own...and who are now watching out for me from above.

> My first partner in crime.  My rock. My support.  He also blessed me with some pretty kewl nephews too...
