Remodeling Update...

We've made some progress on our Master Bathroom.
The best part (so far - since the shower is on a future phase) is the washer and dryer.
No longer do I need to head down two flights of steps with the laundry basket.  :)

Who's Clip?

Some little guy decided that he wanted my clip.
Hard to believe that a 10 month old figured out how to remove a clip "correctly" on his own.
Hard to believe that I was able to use the front facing camera to take a half way blurry picture of it.

Ever Wonder...

How long it takes for your toe nail to completely grow out?
Over a year.
The nail polish was applied on July 24, 2012...
This picture was taken one year and one day later...

Finally Found a Use...

Yeager bomb doesn't have much use for the little man who invades his space weekly, until he found the diaper bag... AKA Yeager bomb's new bed.

My Balls!

A certain little boy loves his balls so much that both hands were busy holding the balls, but he still wanted to play...
What to do?
Use your head of course!

Challenge Accepted...

OB heard the magic words: "Another patient built the legos to the ceiling" and off he went...

Mornings are not my favorite time of the day…
To be honest.
I am a night owl.
Always have been.
Probably, always will.
But I also like getting my obligations taken care of as early as possible so that my favorite time of the day is filled with “me time”.
As a result, I get up EARLY…
Even when I go to bed late.
I start my work day as early as work will allow so that I can head home as early as my eight hours will allow.
Having said all of that, I have had some of the best “moments” in the morning lately.
A nice surprise actually!
I have been trying to get ready without turning on the light in my closet.  I have a little of light from the bathroom that gives me some guidance, but not so bright that it wakes MBB up (okay, so it probably still wakes him up, but it is a pull the blankets up and turn over awake and not time to get up awake).  The result has been putting on clothes that I would normally pass over as “too small”… Only to find out that 99% of them are not “too small”.
Happy dance.
Today, I am modeling a pair of jeans that I probably haven’t been able to get my thigh into for about five years.
Happy marathon!

“If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.”
Regina Brett

Funny how I heard someone say this the other day - and realized that they were referring to seeing mine.  Have to say that I would say it too - a co-worker of mine is saying the hardest goodbye in the world right now - to her roommate.

Yeah, as bad as my issues are right now - not going to throw them in a pile with hers.
My thoughts and prayers are with you SEB.

Lots of stuff going on in that word.
And I probably could write a book about the last year, heck, even about the last month.

But I don't think anyone would be too interested in my words...
Unless you like soap operas, drama and all that good stuff.

I didn't think so.

I did make some changes recently...
Some by choice, some not...

We finally bit the bullet and started working on the master bathroom.
You know that thing that was on the list of things to do when we decided to buy the house.

Do to other things that really need to be done around here, I gave up and agreed that I only needed the toilet and the sink installed and MBB decided that a washer and dryer were a good idea.
So, the shower has been delayed for awhile.  Unfortunately, the wall from the hall into the bathroom is also delayed (remember that installed toilet, yeah...not so useable).

I am trying to get back on track physically...
I started a walking program and I'm up to the final weeks that I have to walk EVERY DAY.
Along with counting calories, yeah, lots of fun in my life right now...
But, I am only seven pounds from "met MBB weight" and 17 from my lowest...
And we are pretty close to Humana Vitality's gold level for the family...
I might be close to putting a check in the success column.

I am trying to get back on track of reading a book a month...
Yeah - got some books that are snooze fests.
Kinda defeats the purpose, don't you think?
If you know of some good books, let me know.

I have started quilting again...
Good thing, since I am so far behind in making quilts...
I really don't want to think about that King Size quilt that is coming soon.

I also bit the bullet and started seeing a counselor.
And to be honest, it helped...
A lot...
Though, I don't think that some of the people in my life like it so much.
I am getting good at speaking instead of hold in and setting boundaries that are mine.

Yeah, did I mention the happiness around me?

Slowly, but surely, we are starting to get some little projects done around the house.
One project has been the wrapping / storage room.
The "right" size holes have been drilled and the rubber pieces are (mostly) on the floor.
Baby steps, people, baby steps!
