I headed to Washington DC for a conference and found my way into an airport restaurant on my way home. The food was very filling, very tasty, and (typical airport) very pricey.

After A LOT of pool, we headed across the parking lot to Miller's Ale House for grub.

Food wasn't bad and was way better priced than at the venue.

Another work trip found me at McCormick & Schmick's at the CNN Center.

Food was great, but I was so tired from all of the work activities that I left my bag (and no picture of the restaurant) - which led to an amusing next day trying to get it back. :)

#FridayFinds - India Palace (Lawrence, KS)

My bestie has been searching for a good Indian restaurant since they moved and has finally find it!

She is very picky on her Indian food, so that tells you that this is a place worth visiting if you are in Lawrence!

We headed up to Lawrence for a girl's day and stopped at First Watch for brunch before exploring.

I didn't get a picture of the sign, but the food was extremely good!

#FridayFinds - Chef J BBQ (Kansas City, MO)

We wandered out looking through antique stores and stopped by Chef J's for lunch.

This place is apparently really good because they sellout often, well before the close time.  

We got there on a Friday about 2pm and were the last to get served.  I don't know if it was because the food had been sitting for a while or not - but I wasn't super impressed as my entree was incredibly dry.  

I think if we had got there earlier, it would have been much better.

I headed back out of town for a work trip and added on to see my besty.

Straight off the plane and we stopped by Torchy's to stop my belly from growling.

This is one of her family's faves and it didn't disappoint.

#FridayFinds - The Steakhouse (Palm Springs, CA)

Another work trip... Another new restaurant...

The food was good... The conversation was even better... Love learning about new things.

This place isn't a repeat for me - not because the restaurant isn't worth it, but because I cannot handle the heat of Palm Springs.  I do not plan on visiting ever again as my sinuses have threatened to divorce me if I do.

Another find on my work trip to Grand Rapids! 

The food and entertainment were wonderful - but alas, we were sharing a lot of plates, so I didn't write down what everything was.  Just guarantee that there wasn't a bit of food that wasn't good!

#FridayFinds - Pochis Columbian Restaurant & Cafe (Grand Rapids, MI)

Found this gem on a work trip!  

The food was served family style - so I'm not sure of all of the names, but one of my friends with me is from Colombia and she was extremely impressed with the food.

The food was amazing and now has me searching for authentic Columbian food in my hometown (recommendations being collected). If you are in the Grand Rapids area, please stop by and given them a try - the owner was very nice and amazing!

#FridayFinds - Oaks Italian Deli (Philadelphia, PN)

We traveled out of town for a pool tournament and got a recommendation to try Oaks Italian Deli for a Philly Cheese Steak. 

And I was VERY disappointed.  The Phillies back in our hometown are waaaaaay better than what we had here.  Granted, the service was probably most of the problem as a majority of our food was not cooked as we ordered it...

(Sandwich was supposed to be with sweet peppers and onions, but arrived with crispy (not cooked) green peppers and crispy (not cooked) onions.)
