#FridayFinds - The Steakhouse (Palm Springs, CA)

Another work trip... Another new restaurant...

The food was good... The conversation was even better... Love learning about new things.

This place isn't a repeat for me - not because the restaurant isn't worth it, but because I cannot handle the heat of Palm Springs.  I do not plan on visiting ever again as my sinuses have threatened to divorce me if I do.

Rounding out my birthday week, I wandered into an Irish Pub....

The drink was AMAZING and the food was okay...

If you find yourself on the Banks in Cincinnati - the drinks are worth a stop!

#FridayFinds - Gold Star Chili

OK, OK, OK - I know everyone thinks Cincinnati Chili when they hear Gold Star (or Skyline).

AND - I absolutely hate Cincinnati Chile.  Can't stand it.  Pasta with chili sauce is not chili - it's goulash.

BUT - I do like hamburgers and my hubby likes Cincinnati Chili...
So, we decided to go for the Burger Week so that we could both have something we like (and this was during my birthday week and I wanted a hamburger!).

The result - good burgers.  If hubby is craving that god-awful chili, I can get something that I like.

BUT - no go on the fries.  I should also say that I can't stand cheddar cheese which a BIG staple at this restaurant. I tried the Parmesan Garlic Fries as an alternative, but they should rename those Mayonnaise Fries because that is all the topping tasted like.
