I've always wanted to do the 30 days of Thanks to refocus and rewire my brain...
But the first week of November is the most busiest week of the year...
So much that I need a week to mentally recover - so half of the month just goes poof!
This year, I decided that it is the right time for me...
Just with a slight spin...
Instead of a post every day, I'm going to do the six days leading up to Thanksgiving with five things that I am thankful for with each post.
Day 4:
> Unique - I am truly blessed that sometimes my mind goes in a different direction that allows me to have different experiences...
> Tovala - A newer innovation that has been a blessed add to our kitchen...
> Crockpots - An old favorite that I still rely on to allow all of the pieces to still fit into the puzzle of life..
> American Eagle - The beautiful symbol that always pulls up the feeling of patriotism and loyalty in my heart. Yes, even with our faults - I am proud to be an American.
> JD Robb/Nora Roberts, Christine Feehan, Sherrilyn Kenyon - The three who allow me to escape my reality for a bit and join their wonderful imaginations in print... Yes, these are the three that I still buy their words on paper.
Namaste.
This is me. These are my opinions. This is my journey. These are my memories.

Day 3:
> Music - It keeps me from going crazy, connects to memories and helps me get through some emotional times.
> The Wright Brothers - The innovation to get us up among the clouds...
> Henry Ford and Kiichiro Toyoda - The innovation that started and evolved this automotive craze...
> Alexander Graham Bell and IBM - The innovation that started the "keeping in touch" that evolved into "keeping organized in the palm of my hand"...
> Toyota - The bedrock behind our family that allows us the security to live everyday without worry of where our next bite of food will come from...
Namaste.

Day 2:
> My passion for opportunities for everyone has evolved into an amazing community that I am blessed to claim as my own.
> God blessed me with some amazing cousins, but one in particular has stood by my side through ups, downs and that wonderful day in 2010.
> Two years ago, we pulled up roots and headed north. The amazing thing is the pool community is a great place to make new friends and you'll always stay in touch with old friends at all of the tournaments!
>Abundance - the first 8 items were about lots of people!
> Health... Yes, I have my challenges (I'm looking at you thyroid and knees!), but I am still vertical and able to live my life!
Namaste.

I will also say that I have gotten out of the habit of being able to write eloquently so this will be short and sweet. It's the thoughts that count right?
Day 1:
> My other half. My partner in life. The one who puts up with my craziness and makes me grow by dealing with his craziness.
> The three little dudes who stole pieces of my heart.
> The two who were born in my heart and not in my belly.
> The two who laid the foundation to prepare me to venture out on my own...and who are now watching out for me from above.
> My first partner in crime. My rock. My support. He also blessed me with some pretty kewl nephews too...
Namaste.

#FridayFinds - Palacio Maya
We decided to hit another Mexican restaurant around town...
Not exactly sure why when we have MBB's favorite, my favorite and some others that have great alternatives...
I don't remember exactly what we ordered (we don't plan on ordering again), but I know that MBB had a burrito of some kind.
Namaste.

#FridayFinds - Cancun Mexican Restaurant & Cantina (Fenton)
Our last stop as we headed home from Lake Michigan.
We passed by the restaurant that was on the list too early to stop, so we searched google for Mexican...
I'd love to tell you what everything is called, but the restaurant doesn't have an on-line menu.
The service was great and speedy... and the food was good too.
Namaste.

#FridayFinds - Harbor View Cafe (Charlevoix)
Before we headed back south on our trip to Lake Michigan, we stopped at Harbor View Café.
I thought (again) that I took a picture of the sign, but no go... So, I went out to the internet and grabbed their logo. :)
The breakfast at this café was great.
And I admit that our orders drove the cooks crazy, but they pulled it off with only one redo.
Namaste.

#FridayFinds - Mackinac Grille (St. Ignace)
Somehow on our trip to Lake Michigan, we ended up back in the U.P..
Before we headed back over the bridge, we stopped for dinner at the Mackinac Grille.
It was a pretty good meal. I got the veggies off of MBB's plate and my bun less hamburger.
A nice place to have a meal while having a great view of Lake Huron.
Namaste.

#FridayFinds - Grey Gables (Charlevoix)
Once we got settled in Charlevoix, we walked down the road to the Grey Gables Restaurant.
I didn't get a pic of the restaurant (no, it didn't disappear...I just didn't take it).
The meal was good - and since it was one of the few restaurants still packed after Labor Day, I shouldn't be surprised.
Namaste.

#CraftyTuesdays - Cousins #2
Another cousin is having a little girl...
Amidst all of the traveling for work and life, I was able to make a blanket in time for the baby shower.
Namaste.
