Notes To Self. . .

  • If a laptop goes pop, back away very quickly.
  • If smoke quickly follows the pop, grab a fire extinguisher – it will be needed in about 3 minutes.
  • Keyboard flames can grow quickly to two foot tall.
  • Grab clothe items before the fire starts or plan to stop by the cleaners on the way home.
  • Fire extinguisher powder grows legs and gets into every nook and cranny.
  • The air between a picture and the frame's glass is a nook or cranny.
  • FE powder is yellow, fine and very gritty.
  • Once said powder finds a home, it doesn’t like to leave.
  • Burnt plastic on laptops is very weird looking and doesn't smell very nice.
  • FE powder smells even worse than burnt plastic.
  • Flames growing up out of a laptop do leave burnt marks on the surface under it.
  • Wiping down surfaces multiple times will not remove powder grittiness and / or odor.

Yep. . .It's a Monday!

Where oh where are you, cell phone?
Where oh where are you, telephone man (who was supposed to move my work phone last Friday)?
Where oh where are you, work badge?

I should mention that the impression to make my retainer broke, so I had to have goop in my mouth again and have to go to another appointment later this week. . .
May I also mention that we are no longer allowed to listen to music at work. . .
Instead, I get to listen to a co-worker sneeze as loud as she possibly can about nine times in a row several times a day.

Where oh where are you, sanity?

Happy V Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

What did I do last night?

I blew a bubble with my gum! :)
It was pretty cool.

Now, my jaw hurts.
Yes, I've been chewing way too much gum!!! hehe
That's alright - was well worth it!

Hopefully, I'll have a smile picture to share soon...

Say What?

Location: Condo
Time: 11:30pm
Setting the Scene: Home Phone Rings

"You. . .Mine. . .Yadda Yadda Yadda. . ." (Heavy ebonic slang going about 100 miles a minute)

"Excuse Me?"

"They gave you my cell phone number! It is mine! I don't understand why you have the number that they gave me! Why do you have my number?"

"Ma'am, this is not a cell phone number. This is my home number that I have had for 11 years."

"222-0222?" (Number changed for public viewing)

"Yes ma'am, that has been my number for 11 years."

One Down. . .

I am happy to say that I am now 4-eyed free.
I do have a little bit of the "dry eye" thing going on, but it isn't too bad and all of the eye drops that I am using are helping a bit.

The only noticable affect is some small red dots on the white of my eyes.
I expect that these will go away soon.

Two days until I am metal free!

Is It An Omen???

MBB is majorily sick.
MaBell doesn't have a voice, but feels ok otherwise (so far).
OB's throat hurts when he swallows, but feels ok otherwise (so far).

I am having Lasik done this afternoon (AUGH!) and need a driver - so MBB is at work and not home in bed where he needs to be. I'll be in bed this evening recovering rather than taking care of my family.

Is this an omen that I really shouldn't have Lasik?
Hope not - cause I'm doing it anyway!

It's Been Fun!

For the past month, I have been putting drops in my eyes twice a day.
This may not sound like a big deal to most of you, but I hate anything "dropping" into my eyes.
So, it's been a fun time in my world.

Monday began my wonderful adventure of putting drops in my eyes six times a day.
Yes, you read that correctly. . .SIX times a day.

The new drops are an antibiotic getting my eyes ready for tomorrow afternoon.
I know that they are important and I want to make sure that everything goes smoothly, so I am "dropping" them as often as I need to.

The fun part of it. . .
These antibiotic drops cause my eyes to feel like they are burning for about 15 seconds.
I don't know if burning is the right word, but I can't really come up with anything better.

The best part. . .
I will complete the last scheduled "dropping" in 28 hours.
I am a little scared about how many drops I will be putting into my eyes after that.

Being Crafty. . .

I've been sewing a bit lately!
Wanna see what I made?

Sure you do!

I made "dragon" curtains for MaBell (AKA SB).

With the left over dragon material, I made her a pillow.

And "Bengal" curtains for OB.

The plan is to make a Bengals pillow for him as well.

Still debating what the next project is going to be.

More curtains?
Quilts?
Who knows!

Me? Nervous?

Yep.
I will not lie.
I am getting pretty nervous. . .

I have a 3 day count-down, a 9 day count-down and a 11 day count-down.
Yes, the 11 day count-down is new and is still a secret for a bit longer. :)

I think I should just crawl in a hole for awhile and hide.

January 2008. . .

. . .was a unique experience!

At times, January drug its feet and I never knew what "story" was about to be told.
At times, January flew by and I didn't get near enough things crossed off of the "to do" list.

Let's recap it, shall we?

What?
Want to know what the bang is refering to?
Really? lol

Last night, I was driving to MBB's and I got rear-ended.
From the sound of the impact, I thought the rear of my car was gone.
Luckily, the only damage is a cracked bumper knocked slightly out of place.
I am sore today (I must have tensed up when I saw the SUV in my rear-view mirror), but you really can't tell that my car was in a fender-bender if you didn't already know.
I am going to have it looked at to see if anything else was crunched underneath.

Despite all of the excitement that it held, I must say that I am glad to bid January good-bye.
February is going to be my big month of changes and lots of hard work!
And I am so looking forward to it!!!
