Awhile ago, I spent a lot of time at a particular church in town which was my spiritual home.
It was pretty much my life, other than work...
I became a member...
I worked with the kids...
I was appointed to fill a vacant spot on the board...
I became Treasurer...
I ran for my own position on the board...
And was Treasurer, Secretary and Treasurer again...
I was there A LOT.
And then...
My life changed and it was no longer "pretty much my life".
I moved further away and added many, many minutes to the drive.
I no longer agreed with the leadership.
We parted ways.
I visited from time to time, but it no longer felt like my spiritual home.
And it has been many, many years since I have felt like I had a spiritual home.
Recently, new leadership has arrived.
And I decided to peek in and see what was going on...
And the feeling from all those years ago was back.
Just sitting in the sanctuary felt...special.
I am not sure if it was just special today with the music and seeing so many old friends...
Or if I was coming home.
My life is still not were it was all those years ago...
But I am interested in seeing if I have found my spiritual home again.
Namaste.
This is me. These are my opinions. This is my journey. These are my memories.

Would He Like It?
Is it obvious that I like taking pictures by the amount on this blog lately?
I remember a time when this blog was all thought and very little visuals...
Another shift of priorities.
I think that happens when small kids are around!
During one of the snow storms in November, our side hill got quite a few inches...
MBB thought it was a good idea to see if our oldest grandson (I really need a nickname for him on here!... Maybe big brother???) liked sledding...
We had to get him started, but once he got rolling - he did pretty good!
You can't tell because of the dark, but MBB was at the bottom of the hill to help him stop.

Going Outside?
MBB told our oldest grandson to get his shoes so that they could go outside.
He decided that Nana needed her shoes too (and moved the blanket so that he could put them on my feet - who cares that they are on the wrong feet)...
He was on a speedy mission to get outside as fast as he could and he didn't seem to care that I was holding a sleeping little brother...He wanted everyone outside NOW!
Moments like this are so precious and I am so glad I had my phone to grab the photo.
I love being Nana!

Wishful Thinking???
I've always heard that you can tell what winter will be like by looking at the willy worms...
The darker they are, the harsher the winter will be.
I'm wondering if this means that winter will come in hard (as it has already - three snow storms in November already) and then coast through until a not so nice end...
Wishful thinking on my part maybe (and the fact that I've seen this color scheme quite a few times this fall)...

More Progress...
I mentioned on Saturday that I got some sewing done...
Remember this post?
Yep, this is the next stage of those projects...
Almost done!

Amazing...
...how many things can get done when you put your mind to it...
...and are by yourself all day!
MBB took off for a pool tournament today and I decided to stay home and get some stuff done.
Wow...did I get some stuff done!
I did some...
- Cleaning (though is that one ever truly done?)
- Purging (any readers want some books?)
- Christmas Shopping (keyword: some... so much to still do)
- Sewing
- Wrapping
- Blogging
I think I missed a few things, but I am feeling pretty freaking good about the amount that I got done today! Gonna try to put a few more hours on sewing tomorrow to get those presents done...
Now, if I could just figure out when I'm gonna get my Christmas Baking done...

Once Again...
...time got away from me and I haven't posted in forever.
I remember when I used to post almost everyday.
Priorities tend to change in life.
At least mine do.
And I have had so many priorities lately that I have been running pretty ragged.
I went so hard for so long that my body finally said "NO MORE"!
I was sitting at my desk, on one of those rare days when I was actually in the office, feeling fine one minute and horrible the next.
After trying to self-medicate for five days (and different symptoms everyday), I finally gave up and went to the doctor.
Four prescriptions and five days later - I was finally myself again and sounded like myself again.
Did I mention that I was asleep more than I was awake those ten days?
That was probably the best medication...
And I tried to do my site visit to Michigan while self-medicating.
Not such a good idea...
But, I am finally through the crazy time at work, so I am going to try to be better about blogging until work gets crazy again.
Notice: I said "try"...

Thanksgiving
I admit - I'm a few days late posting this, but I was traveling on the actual day and didn't have a chance to get on my laptop.
So, I hope that those of you in the USA had a wonderful holiday with family, friends and those who are important to you.
Take a moment to just take it all in. I have learned over the last year to never take anyone for granted... You never know when they will be there and when they won't.
Namaste.

Yummy!
I was back in my old neighborhood for a dreaded doctor's appointment...
So I decided to celebrate being able to use my favorite dry cleaner (my wallet was very happy too!) and my favorite grocery store... A treat made it to work to celebrate Thanksgiving...
It can't be too bad... it has fruit... right?
I REALLY miss this grocery store since I moved to Kentucky...
Namaste.

Fun Stuff...
...Is not being kind to me right now.
A few ~70 hour weeks...
Lots of travel...
Things still being processed in my life with the move...
And now I get screamed at over the phone at work.
Hard to let that one go so easily.
I'd love to think that I am so good at my job that I can handle anything, but I couldn't.
I'd love to take the mindset that he had something else going on...
That he had other issues causing him to blow up at me...
But right now, that's pretty hard to do.
So, I did the only thing I could, I hung up on him.
I may hear about that one, but right now, I just don't care.
Namaste.
