#FridayFinds - Boonedocks Pub & Grub

We get in a bad habit of finding one or two restaurants that we like, and we are done exploring. 

We have really been trying to get out and find new restaurants - if nothing else than to say that we did. 

Here is another that we finally ventured to as we are exploring our not-so new home...

#CraftyTuesday - Another Great Niece

We welcomed another Great Niece into the family (ok, technically it is a cousin - but we are closer than that, so honorary niece it is!).  She is so loved by everyone, and I can't wait to watch her grow.

#FridayFinds - Mi Tierra

The bad thing about not having time to post is forgetting where some of the restaurants are.  We visited Mi Tierra while we were traveling down to Indiana / Louisville area, but I can't remember if we ate while at our destination or while on the road...

At any rate - Mexican is always a good choice for us when we are on the road and don't have any knowledge of the restaurants. As a result of not remembering what we ate (see note above about finding time to post), I am getting better about taking pictures of the menus to remind me... But not this time.

#FridayFinds - Lalo

The great thing about working in a new location is to try a bunch of new restaurants!

Up next in downtown Cincinnati was Lalo.  The food was good and I'd recommend it to someone looking for somewhere new, but it isn't a "we have to go" spot for me.  If someone suggests, I'll be up for it - does that make sense?

#FridayFinds - Taste of Belgium

I've been wanting to try Taste of Belgium since I moved back to the Cincinnati area and finally got my chance!  I went to the location in northern downtown Cincinnati for the pictures below.  I have also made it to their Findlay Market stall for a yummy treat. 

It's a great spot when you are in a brunch mood...

On my final work trip of 2023 to Washington DC, we took a group dinner to a women owned restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia. 

The food and company were both great.  We even got to meet the owner.

When you stumble upon an ice cream shop with A TON of flavors, the best thing to do is to get a flight!

In the midst of our Kansas City girls' night, we stopped at the Brick for some food.

The food was surprisingly good - I took the advice of our waitress and tried a new combination (especially with a belly full of mixed drinks)!
