#FridayFinds - Cancun Bar & Grill (Newport, KY)

As we were relocating early in 2022, we lived in temporary corporate housing for about two months.

Being that we eat A LOT of Mexican food, it wasn't good that there was one RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. Walking distance.

The food at Cancun Bar & Grill was good. The only thing that saved us from eating every meal there was that they were on the pricey side. It was worth driving somewhere else - especially if I wanted a skinny.

If you'd like a treat - especially with a view or walking distance to the levy, this is a good one to try.  But be prepared to lighten your wallet a bit.

#FridayFinds - Lita's Tacos (Florence, KY)

While we were on house finding trips, we were eating out a lot so lots of food pictures were taken.

We tried Lita's Tacos...

The food tasted good (though not good enough for me to remember what we ordered), but the portion sizes were small for the prices - so it has not been a repeat for us.  If I get a good coupon to cover having to order more than two entrees for two people, then we may swing back by.

#FridayFinds - Mai Thai (Florence, KY)

Mai Thai was one of those restaurants that we found years ago (before I took pictures to remember) and I had fond memories.  It is one of those places where I can have sushi and MBB can NOT have sushi.  I also remembered their Plum wine and couldn't wait to have it again.

On our first house hunting trip, we swung by to see if my memory was right...

It was - well worth the visit (and we have been back a few times since).

#FridayFinds - 1883 (Cincinnati, OH)

I have a new favorite lunch spot when I am in downtown Cincinnati - 1883.

I have my favorite menu items and if I am out of town a few weeks and miss going, I start going through withdrawals.  :)

One thing I will share - there are different 1883 locations around the area and I heard that the chefs have freedom to change things up. The prices are also different - I got a surprise when I stopped by the Union, KY location.

#FridayFinds - Pete's Garage

Pete's Garage had been on the "to try" list for awhile, so when it was suggested for out "goodbye" dinner - it was a no brainer.  The only down side - we had such a big group (good problem to have) that we couldn't sit in the cars. 

A big group also means a lot of food pictures and I'm not even sure what everyone ordered. LOL

If you can get in a car - definitely go for the memories.

#FridayFinds - Chomp Burger (Adrian, MI)

For ladies league, the team tries to head out for lunch before our matches.

Our go to decided to reduce hours and not be open, so we had to find a new place.

Chomp Burger was one of the last places that I got to go before our move.

It was good enough that I took MBB to try on one of our league nights.

#FridayFinds - El Rancho Grande (Cincinnati, OH - Eastgate)

I debated a bit whether to tag this "Travel" or "Around Town".

Technically, we were traveling south to play in a pool tournament when we stopped by El Rancho Grande but since our big relocation this year - it is "around town" for us now... 

It was good enough that we went twice on the same trip.  

So, I tagged them both!  :)

If you saw my #FridayFind from last week - MBB got his normal (but they put the chorizo on the side instead of in the burrito!!!) and I got my normal... along with a Skinny Margarita (no salt).  :)

#FridayFinds - El Tequila Mexican Bar & Grill (Piqua, OH)

Since we moved north and most of our family is a drive south, we have stopped at a lot of restaurants along 75 in Ohio.  Usually, if we see a Mexican restaurant, we stop... Mexican is a pretty safe bet...

MBB usually gets a diced chicken burrito of some kind minus the beans, add chorizo... I usually get a chicken, rice and vegetable plate covered in queso cheese of some sort. This trip found us trying loaded fries... loaded with chorizo and cheese.  I don't remember being impressed with the fries.

#FridayFinds - PizzaPapalis Taverna (Toledo, OH)

This one was on our list to try for awhile, but we don't get to downtown Toledo very often.

A Walleye Hockey game brought us downtown so we took advantage and tried it out!

We heard great things and they weren't wrong (the fact that I remembered what we had without looking up an on-line menu says a lot).

We honestly would have gone more but it was a bit of a drive for us, so it didn't happen. :(

#FridayFinds - Chop House (Toledo, OH)

Happy Anniversary to us!  

OK - not the date on this post, but that was the occasion when we visited the Chop House.  

Every year on our anniversary, we try a new restaurant - 2021 was a steakhouse.

Overall - the items we got were either amazing (noted as yummy on the picture) or not worth the trip.

It was worth the experience, as it was our anniversary, but I would not recommend it to others.

This bread was amazing and I can't remember what it was called as we didn't order it, but if you go - you'll get to experience it (and I so want to recreate it!)...

French Onion Soup - yummy

My Steak - I can't remember the cut, but I do remember that it was very good

MBB's steak - not worth the money, if I remember correctly - he liked mine better and his was way more expensive

Brussel Sprouts - Sent them back
