#FridayFinds - Chop House (Toledo, OH)

Happy Anniversary to us!  

OK - not the date on this post, but that was the occasion when we visited the Chop House.  

Every year on our anniversary, we try a new restaurant - 2021 was a steakhouse.

Overall - the items we got were either amazing (noted as yummy on the picture) or not worth the trip.

It was worth the experience, as it was our anniversary, but I would not recommend it to others.

This bread was amazing and I can't remember what it was called as we didn't order it, but if you go - you'll get to experience it (and I so want to recreate it!)...

French Onion Soup - yummy

Wedge Salad - yummy

My Steak - I can't remember the cut, but I do remember that it was very good

MBB's steak - not worth the money, if I remember correctly - he liked mine better and his was way more expensive

Brussel Sprouts - Sent them back

Scalloped Potatoes - yummy

#CraftyTuesday - Spiderman Rules

I am very strict with myself - if I did something for our first grandbaby, I do it for all of them!

There will be no: "Nana is that for big brother, but not for me!" said about me...

All of my grand blessings got baby quilts when they first arrived and then a longer one when they turned six.  The baby just turned six.  

If they want another one of Nana's blankets - they have to help me and learn how much goes into making them a blanket.

While we lived north, MBB was in a few sand-volleyball leagues. 
When the games fell just right, we would grab dinner at the restaurant, and it was definitely a repeat...

Since moving - we miss the food and MBB misses the volleyball.

#FridayFinds - Tacos and Margaritas (Las Vegas)

So, apparently, I had a lot of restaurant pictures from our last trip to Vegas... Which was a long time ago. But Vegas was opening up after COVID shut down, so some of our regular places were no longer options. :( 

Tacos and Margaritas was the stop this time...

Another one that didn't make the repeat list...

And it has been so long, that I have no idea what the dishes were that we ordered.

#CraftyTuesday - Heavenly Snuggles

Halfway through making this quilt, the sweet baby boy was called home to heaven before even blessing us with his presence...

I couldn't touch my sewing machine without the tears...

I finally pulled myself together and let myself feel and blessed his parents with this gift to go in his memory display case.  

I am glad that I could remember him and all of the love that everyone felt for him for the short time that he was here, even if we never got to hold him.

Last summer when we were in Las Vegas, we had a group dinner.

Buca wasn't bad for a large group, but I definitely have other Italian places in Vegas that rank higher.

One of my dear friends and fellow pool player just grew her family and added her first little one.

Since both of her parents are very good pool players, I expect it won't be long before she has a baby pool stick in her hands!

On one of our many trips to Las Vegas, we visited Zeffer's.

It was typical Vegas fair - different and pricey.

I wouldn't "avoid" it in the future, but it didn't get added to our "must go" list on repeat visits.
