Took Some Time...

The next few weeks (okay, the next month) is going to be insane...
Total craziness...
I might be able to catch some photos throughout it and do my normal back dating to show you my craziness...
Maybe the end of November...

So, MBB and I took a few days off this weekend - mainly to celebrate our anniversary.
I also needed a few days to recharge and get some stuff done around the house in prep for the craziness around the corner.

I am behind on a few projects that I would like to get done before I attempt anything for Christmas...
And since I have some ideas of things to do for Christmas...
I took some time in the craft room today and started working on three different projects...

In all honesty, it will probably be the end of November before I can work on them again.  :(

Here's a sneak peak:

Ride the Ducks

Even though I have lived in Cincinnati/Cincinnati-area for more than half of my life, I decided (along with MBB, MaBell and the grandbabies) to be a tourist and Ride the Ducks...

The grandbabies loved riding on the "wawer" and the adults learned some fascinating facts too.

And we even got to see a real duck too...

The only downside - it was a rainy, gloomy day...
May have to go back and ride again on a sunny day.

Wool Fest

The one thing you can always count on:  the Wool Fest the first weekend in October.
Lots of people travel for it...
Lots of people "return home" for it...
Lots of locals love it...

Not my husband.
I lived in Kentucky for years before I made it there and only then because of some fundraising work...And yes, I was solo.

Now, we have a grandbaby who loves cows, MBB is suddenly willing to go to the Wool Fest.
(You can tell where I rank on the totem pole with him!)

There were baby goats and calves and goats who wanted all of the attention.
I must say that the petting zoo in 2013 was amazing.
The petting zoo in 2014 - sorely lacking.
I'm hoping that it improves for next year!

Imaginations...

In this day and age, I have started worrying about the future generations' imaginations.
It seems like most of them are glued to electronic screens / games...

This lessened my worry, at least about my grandbaby, and made me laugh at the same time.

We were helping some friends work on a house that they just bought...
When my grandbaby (yes, I need to come up with nicknames for them on here!) decided that a plastic drop clothe was really a superhero cape.  He ran around with it and had a ball...

Unfortunately, the only non-blurry picture (where you can't see his face) happens to be when he took a break in front of the TV...

No worries, he was back up showing off his cape in no time!
